We’re a small digital marketing agency based in India. We work with founders and brands who want growth more than they want a deck. This page explains who we are, how we work, and why — in case any of that helps you decide.
Most brands we’d met before starting SocialMocktail had the same story. They hired an agency. The agency was responsive for the first month. By month three, reports were two weeks late, decisions were stuck in someone else’s Slack, and the brand was paying a retainer that nobody could explain anymore.
So we built the agency that we’d want to hire. Small enough that the people you talk to are the people doing the work. Fast enough that decisions don’t need committee approval. Honest enough that we’ll tell a founder when something they’re paying for isn’t working — even if that something is us.
If we can’t explain it to your accountant in two sentences, we’re hiding something. We don’t “leverage” or “synergise.” We make stuff and ship stuff.
You should know what you’re paying for and what you’re getting. No retainer black boxes. No “contact us” pricing pages.
Most briefs go live inside 14 days. Some inside a week. Speed is part of the value, not a premium add-on.
We send a real performance report every two weeks. Numbers that move. Numbers that don’t. Things we’ll try next.
We don’t want to be a 200-person agency. The teams we admire most stayed small on purpose. We’re trying to do the same.
We turn down briefs that don’t fit. If we can’t do good work for you, we’ll say so and point you at someone better.
SocialMocktail was started by people who’d worked at bigger agencies and brands across India. The collective track record covers D2C startups, lifestyle brands, B2B SaaS, fintech, and a few stubborn legacy businesses that needed dragging into 2026. Different categories, same problem: growth marketing was getting more expensive and less transparent every year.
The mocktail name isn’t just a brand exercise. It’s the working metaphor: we wanted to build an agency that felt refreshing, photogenic, inclusive, and didn’t leave anyone with a hangover. Most agencies feel like walking into a wine tasting without knowing the vocabulary. We’d rather pour you something good and tell you exactly what’s in it.
Roughly half our work is with Indian founders — D2C brands, app companies, B2B SaaS, marketplaces. The other half is brand and growth work for established companies that want a faster, smaller team than they’d get at a traditional agency.
We’ve shipped for brands in India, Singapore, the UAE, the UK, and a couple in the US. The work travels. The brand voice doesn’t change by geography.
We pass on briefs where:
This isn’t snobbery. It’s self-protection. We’re a small team and we only have so many hours. We’d rather do great work for fewer brands than mediocre work for more.
We’re based in India and most of our team is here. Some of us are in Delhi, some in Bangalore, some in Mumbai. We don’t have a fancy office — most of our work happens over Slack, Figma, Notion, and the occasional in-person meeting. If you’re in any of those cities and want to grab coffee, that’s usually doable.
To make this concrete, here’s what the first month with us actually looks like for a typical retainer client:
Week 1 — Audit and access. You give us read-only access to your channels (Instagram, Google Ads, GA4, Klaviyo — whatever you’re using). We audit what’s there, write up the top three things working and the top three things broken, and send you a one-page brief. No 60-slide deck.
Week 2 — First shipped work. We deliver the first actual outputs: a content calendar for the month, the first paid creative, or the brand asset — whatever the engagement covers. You see drafts before they go live. Revisions are expected, not penalised.
Week 3 — Performance check. First mid-month report. Numbers from week 2, what worked, what we’re changing for week 3. We don’t wait for the month to end to learn.
Week 4 — Full report + next-month plan. Bi-weekly report covering the full month. Honest about wins and losses. Plan for the next month with specific deliverables. If we want to change scope, we ask first.
We don’t marry any single tech stack, but here’s what tends to show up in most engagements:
Our pricing is published on the homepage with real numbers. The three tiers cover most situations, but the actual contract is always scoped to your specific brief.
We don’t charge for proposals. The first scoping call is free, and so is the proposal that follows. We only invoice once work starts.
We don’t take percentage cuts on ad spend. Our paid media fee is fixed, decoupled from your spend. That means our incentive is to make your spend efficient, not to grow it.
We don’t mark up third-party costs. Klaviyo, Meta ad spend, creator fees, hosting bills — these flow through at cost. You pay vendors directly where possible.
We don’t lock you in. Retainers are month-to-month. Projects are fixed-scope. You can cancel at any time with 30 days notice. No exit clauses, no penalty fees, no recovery invoices.
The fastest way to start a conversation is to send us a brief. Tell us what you’re trying to grow, what’s worked, what hasn’t. We’ll write back within 24 hours, business days, with whether we can help and what it’d cost. No demo call, no discovery deck.
The people who actually write the briefs, ship the work, and reply to your emails. Marketing and brand strategy across D2C, SaaS, and service businesses in India and beyond.
Editorial credit on blog posts attributes to the team unless individually bylined. We’ll add named author bylines as the team grows.
We’ll write back within 24 hours, honestly, with whether we can help.
